Hi,

Recently installed the hello press theme. Theme looks great however, using the new theme our Google Analytics tracking is no longer working.

Trying to get this resolved asap as we are not able to collect valuable data.

Thanks,

JC

This is a bug in magento. You need to update the GA Analytics block code in magento files. They messed up the tracking code. 1 row is missing from the code.

in GA.php align your code to match this.

<!– BEGIN GOOGLE ANALYTICS CODE –>

<!– END GOOGLE ANALYTICS CODE –>

See http://www.magentocommerce.com/boards/viewthread/23325/P15/

There are two fixes mentioned there *both* of which need to be applied.

1 – Move the analytics tracking code to before the body.
2 – Add the missing declaration for the _gaq variable to Ga.php.

I am running 1.4.2.0 and Analytic does not worked.

The fixes detailed in the thread do not work, as 1.4.2.0 has already fixed those issues. For example the missing ‘var _gaq = _gaq || [];’ line.

the problem I have is that after enabled GA in admin, it simply doesn’t appear. No errors in fire-bug, and analytics code simply is not there.

Does anyone have a working fix for Magento 1.4.2.0?
