- Tell us about the difficulties and challenges you’ve had to overcome.
The largest difficulty we’ve had to overcome is to get merchants thinking about keeping their customers loyal, rather than just acquiring new customers. A lot of merchants focus only on getting new customers, rather than using their existing customers to help drive sales. There is too much focus on SEO, Paid Search (like Adwords), and affiliate systems, yet not enough focus on keeping your existing customers happy and returning.
- How has working with Magento influenced your business and / or professional activity?
Magento is at the core of our business; we couldn’t do exist without it. The community is so amazing and vibrant, it makes working with Magento very enjoyable.
- Is Magento popular in your country?
Magento is gaining popularity in Canada. eCommerce in Canada is a bit behind when compared to markets like the US & UK, but it is gaining popularity and I think Magento is helping with that.
- Tell us about Sweet tooth. How did this occur to you? When did you start?
We used to do custom development, and saw that our Magento merchants all had one common problem: they needed help keeping their customers coming back, and staying loyal. Three years ago we created Sweet Tooth to solve this problem. It has done so well that it is our primary focus now!
- Do you think Magento has enhanced the online sales and distribution in your country?
Absolutely. It is a perfect blend of ease of use and functionality. For most merchants, Magento is a very suitable choice.
