The HelloThemes Tech Support Team is pleased to inform you that in the next few days a new tech support system will be put into effect in order to provide you with better, more organized and efficient service.
Tech Support will be provided only through the “Tech Support Ticket” system. The e-mail system will be completely eliminated, and the Forum will be for the clients, the main objective being to build a solid community of mutual help, like in the forum in the Magentocommerce website.
Support will not be provided through the forum as we have been doing so far, but instead we will only collaborate, with the help of moderators, to promote the shaping of the community. “Collaborate” means that we are willing to provide initial help or guidance in the issues that may come up related to the use of our products, but again, tech support will not be provided. Our intention is that the forum will progress and become the core of the HelloThemes community, where clients will be able to help each other and we collaborate as moderators.
Any issues you may have will have to be submitted only through the new Tech Support Ticket system.

Well, we can say our efforts are becoming to do it’s things. But this is just the beginning of a completely new face of HelloThemes, new important changes are coming, and they will be good news for everyone!
From the Support of Hellothemes we can say that we have a lot of work to start doing, we want our theme Documentations to be EXCELLENT, this means we don’t want our customers to have to consult us (Support) for theme configurations during the install of a HelloTheme, also we want to cover as most as “how do i…?” questions we can with our Documentations. New video-tutorials, tips are coming and a new look to our Support Forum! Stay tuned!

Magento Preview Version CE 1.6.0.0-rc2
Magento has announced the release of the RC2 of the new version 1.6.0.0. Many developers have judged this version
as a “new beginning” of the Magento Community, as well as others developers have judged it as “more of the same”. So… what’s true?,
you tell me! When we tested 1.6 RC2 we were more than happy for just one thing….We didn’t have ANY installation problems, finally!

Minimum Advertised Price (MAP Pricing)
Persistent Shopping Across Devices and Browsers
Enhanced Order Payment Action for PayPal Express Checkout
And much more…
Talking about improvements, we can now find the dynamic SKU for Configurable Products, changes in Moneybookers and an update of the Prototype library to 1.7. Another relevant feature is the removal of Google Base, also there is no more presence of The Find options in the Admin-panel although the module is still in the code.
We’ll be testing and testing this version before upgrading, stay tuned for updates!

Sending newsletter from Magento
If you are trying to send newsletters through Magento, you will find serious issues. This is due Magento functionality, which has not been improved in this subject. To send newsletters, you will have to make some fixes:
Step 1: Modify this file: app/code/core/Mage/Newsletter/etc/config.xml
At the end of this file, look for this lines of code:

Change to:

Now, you can create your newsletter (using html) in your Magento Admin panel: go to Newsletter> Newsletter Templates> Add new template , after finish, save the template.
Then, still in the Newsletter Templates page, at the right hand of the newsletter lists, under “Action”, select “Queue Nesletter” in the recently newsletter you created.
Now edit the info you want, but don’t set a date to start sending them, leave the “Queue Date Start” field in blank. Then Save.
Final step, write this in the url of your browser: http://www.yoursite.com/cron.php to start sending your newsletters.
